Vision of Traces ist ein Projekt, das aus dem Versuch hervorgegangen ist, die Oberfläche von Found-Footage-Filmmaterial mittels Chemikalien auf Papier zu übertragen. Die noch sichtbaren Elemente und Reste des Filmmaterials, das größtenteils aus Proben und unbenutzten Filmszenen besteht, sind die verbleibenden Spuren des Druckprozesses und verweisen auf die Materialität und das Bild des Films und seine Illusion. Auch in dieser Arbeit basieren die filmischen Mittel auf fragmentarischen Bildern, die als Traumspur oder filmisch als Filmspur gelesen werden können. Erinnerung, Traum und die Fragen der Erinnerung selbst treten unter der Oberfläche des Films in den Vordergrund.
Die Illusion des Kinos wird als Illusion unserer Erinnerung erkannt.

Vision of Traces is a project that has emerged from an attempt to transfer the surface of found footage film material by means of chemicals to paper. The still-visible elements and residue of the footage, consisting largely of rehearsal and unused film scenes, are the remaining traces of the printing process, and refer to the materiality and image of the film and its illusion. In this work too, the cinematic means are based on fragmentary images that can be read as a dream track or cinematically as a film trail. Memory, dream, and the questions of memory itself come to the foreground under the surface of the film. The illusion of cinema is recognized as an illusion of our memory.
