Chawani, bashi ist ein Film über die antike kurdische Stadt Hasankeyf in der Türkei. Montiert aus Fotografien aus dem Jahr 2010, reflektiert dieser Film über das Verschwinden der Stadt, über Licht, Politik, Verlust und die Kinder, die nun keine Kinder mehr sind.

10 Jahre nach der Aufnahme der Bilder, wurde die Stadt Hasankeyf vom Wasser des Ilısu-Damms überflutet.

Chawani, bashi is a film about the ancient Kurdisch city of Hasankeyf, Turkey.
 Edited from photographs taken in 2010 the film reflects on the disappearance of the city, 
on light, politics, loss and the grown up children. 


10 years later the city of Hasankeyf was flooded by the Water of the Ilısu Dam.
